Bliss bits for my happiness jar

We often believe that happiness means being happy 24/7 or achieving big milestones. Yet, the essence of true bliss lies in the tiny moments. I like to call these little magic moments "bliss bits." Bliss bits are those tiny, almost imperceptible moments of joy that flicker through our day, often unnoticed unless we make a conscious effort to acknowledge them. I experienced one of these bliss bits today during my morning walk with my dog through the park. As we strolled along, I noticed the crocuses and snowdrops starting to bloom, adding splashes of color to the landscape. The bushes around me were also showing the first signs of green buds, signaling the arrival of spring. And out of nowhere, two deer gracefully appeared on our path. It was absolutely magical, even if just for a few seconds.

These moments of bliss may seem insignificant, but they hold immense value. I like to imagine collecting these tiny moments of bliss in my own happiness jar. It could be a ray of sunshine peeking through the clouds, a warm smile from a stranger, or the irresistible scent of freshly baked bread. The more we are aware of and fully embrace these moments, the more bliss bits we uncover throughout our day.

We need to un-learn the belief that true happiness lies in one big stroke of luck. Instead, it's a mosaic of these small, but meaningful, pieces that make up our overall happiness. By shifting our perspective and actively seeking out these bliss bits, we can find joy and contentment in the simple pleasures of everyday life. So, let's savor these moments, however small they may be, and watch our happiness multiply.
